Born and educated in England, Steven subsequently lived in Venezuela and Argentina, before settling in Brazil. A pioneer of the luxury and expeditionary travel in Latin America he is the founder of the Brazilian Beach House Company.
"When I started arranging travel for Clients in Brazil we hit on the idea of renting beach houses and private islands and staffing them to the highest levels as there were very few chic, owner run hotels at that time (mid-1990's). Since then, we have had great success and fun in developing a portfolio of the best private beach houses in Brazil most of which offer accommodation that far exceeds the hotels in the same areas." Steven is a Contributing editor for Conde Nast Traveller in the UK and regularly writes on Brazil for US and UK titles.

A native of Salvador, Bianca has lived and worked in São Paulo since graduating from business school. Becoming a partner in the Brazilian Beach House Company rescued her from life as a vice-president at one of the world's leading telecom companies and she applies the same eye to detail to the running of the houses as she once applied to the balance sheet.
"It's such a pleasure to work with people, to create something as lasting as a great holiday in my country for guests, many of whom have never been here before. When we hear guest's feedback at the end of a trip and what a wonderful time they have had, both in our houses and in Brazil, it gives me enormous satisfaction. It makes me proud to be at the forefront of this new wave of luxury tourism in Brazil. It's not all about football and bikinis." Bianca speaks fluent Portuguese, English and good Spanish.

One of the most accomplished and best known photographers working in Brazil today, Tuca is a regular contributor to both Vogue and Casa Vogue (Brazil), Elle Décor, Departures Magazine (US), Travel & Leisure, the New York Times and Wallpaper Magazine.
His most recent work includes two coffee table books for Taschen, 'Great Escapes South America' and 'Living in Bahia'. We have been very fortunate that Tuca has been able to photograph many of the houses and small hotels which we feature as part of an on going collaboration with the Brazilian Beach House Company. He is available for magazine commissions and to shoot private houses.

Yanna has created the visual identity of the Brazilian Beach House Company, from the conception of the award winning logo (the flip-flops!) to the development of the website and unique electronic brochures on each property. "It has been satisfying to mold the look of the Brazilian Beach House Company to be in line with what the company stands for; the best of a new, funky, Brazil for which luxury tourism acts a window. It's everywhere; in the arts, music, design and food of the country which is increasingly - and vibrantly - Brazilian.
We want to show that the BBHco is part of a new festival and celebration of what is to be Brazilian today." A successful professional artist, her striking silk-screen prints are found in galleries in Trancoso, London and New York.

Owner of Miam Miam restaurant which won the 2007 Gula award for Rio's best contemporary restaurant, we are very lucky to have Roberta's to help devising our menus and her imaginative catering company, Coisas Para Comer who provide many of the chefs who cook for our Guests in the beach houses up and down the coast.
An award-winning chef, she is occasionally tempted to cook for some of our larger groups but much of her time is devoted to running her restaurants in Rio where she is always delighted to welcome our Clients.

Simon founded his company, Senderos, in the UK with the aim of promoting the best experiences Latin America has to offer to the tourism trade.
His understanding of the region, experience and raw enthusiasm for Brazil has been of invaluable help to us in developing as a travel company. We are delighted that Senderos represents the Brazilian Beach Company, promoting our private houses and boats to the best European travel companies that entrust their clients to us.
